WordPress, Firefox or the Boogeyman Ate My Post

POSTED IN: General, Personal

I just lost a whole article that took me over 5 hours to write. I have no idea how, or why. I had saved it seven million times. When I reloaded from the drafts section, half of the article was just GONE. I want to cry.

Did you try looking in your mysql server where your wordpress actually stores it’s content? It’s a longshot perhaps, but you just might be able to recover SOMETHING there. Worth a look. Good luck!

Tried :( No good. I even tried looking through the firefox cache. I had even probably 3 minutes before copied the whole thing to the clipboard (via ctrl + c) and it just was gone. I’m beginning to think my laptop is out to get me.

Two hours ++ later… article is finished - had manually redo the whole second half.

Wow, that is brutal! I hate it when that kind of thing happens. The worst was one time I accidentally flipped the power bar on my computer with my foot…I don’t remember what I lost but it was a lot of work unsaved!! :S At least you had the commitment to finish the article ;)
