CSSremix is hacked

POSTED IN: Articles, Other
TAGGED: No Tags

So, some immature kid from Turkey with the inability to speak any type of decent English hacked the CSSremix site. Not sure what is ever gained by doing this. Wow, you managed to poke and expose a security hole. Instead of destroying someone’s hard work why not give them a heads up instead of sticking some absolutely n00bish “hacked by” page, declaring how great you are (not!).

Hopefully the owner of the Remix has been making backups and can resolve this issue with little problem.

I don’t approve of such behaviour either

but, a website of that caliber ought to have thought about possible hacker attacks !!!

I hope they will have a great security in the future.

I’m sure they did what they could, and hopefully they have learned something from it. They are powered by Wordpress 2.1.3, so the issue lies within their CMS of choice, which means the CMS needs to be patched (may already be patched). I’m the farthest thing ever from a security expert though.

Good thing for backups!!
